- Heart's desire is to see a church planting movement across Lebanon, the Middle East, Africa and Canada

- Vision to see 300 new churches planted by 2030, including 50 among Arab and unreached people
- Currently has planted 9 new churches and 5 in incubation

- The Lord has entrusted us with the great commission in Matthew 28
- The Conference will focus on training and equipping the church to reach Arabs and unreached people

- The Conference is not just something to watch, but is something to be a part of
- God has called all believers to walk with Him on a daily basis
- Pray more about the possibility of being part of the great commission

- Everyone has had to catch up and be online

Biggest Change
- Removal of in-person worship has been the biggest change for editing and mixing

- Need to invest in it like its another location
- Realize there is time that needs to be invested
- There's a learning curve
- It's worthwhile and makes a difference
- To reach people that maybe wouldn't have come to your building before
Unified Sound for Mixing
- Use a template to start from the same place
- Helps to keep it consistent
- Easier for multiple people to be able to volunteer and keep a similar feel
- Use the template just as a guide
- Layout expectation guidelines for volunteers
- Know what you are doing
Unique Ways to Train Volunteers
- Now we have pre-recorded content that we can use for training
- Let them practice in advance
- Practice is low pressure because it's not live
Getting Youth Involved
- Great way to get youth involved and engage with them
- They already know some of this stuff due to apps they use
- Post mixing and editing is more appealing to youth
- They can learn how to record
- Think about what the youth will be able to do in the next 10 years
Nurturing a Healthy Team
- Onboarding is very similar to before, get started during a series
- Have to work a little hard because not face to face
- More pursuing people
- Every Monday worship leader does a little video to encourage the team and give updates
- Engage in a virtual way
- One on one connection is so important
- Try to connect people together as much as possible
Ways to Grow Your Skills
- Online videos
- Try to look for new ways to learn
- Consume content as much as possible
- Get the multitrack from the worship pastor and practice
- Watch other services and try to learn how they do it
- It's hard to feel motivated on your own, but set your mind to do it
How to Grow Your Production Area
- Look for church service production groups on Facebook to get help
- There is a community of people who want to help you
- Use videos online

- Once we have some connection then meet in person

The Holy Spirit
- If the Spirit is not involved, it's just us
- What are we inviting people to?
- The Holy Spirit will empower us with courage and discernment
- Believe that God is involved before we show up
Encouragement to Reach Out
- Share your life
- Don't hide the Christian side of your life, but don't "shove it" at people
- People come to know and follow Jesus, not because the person who told them is perfect
- It's not about fixing something first
- Trust that Jesus is involved

Humility
- A reverence for God and a respect for others
A Humble Kid
- Don't play to the crowd or the camera
- Not first in line
- Doesn't brag about what they have or who they are
- Graciously accepts compliment
- Accepts victory modestly and loses with their head held him
"All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, 'God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble.' " 1Peter 5:5
Gratefulness
- An appreciation of what you have been given and Who has given it
Philippians 4:11-13 "I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
A Grateful Kid
- Doesn't whine about what they don't have or complain about what they do have
- Very thankful
- Takes good care of their stuff
- Verbally expresses their appreciation to the people who sacrifice for them
- Focuses on the good things in life
Generosity
- A great delight in sharing with others what God has entrusted to you
Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shake together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure yours, it will be measured to you."
A Generous Kid
- Everything they have belongs to God
- Give back to God
- Second nature to offer the biggest piece to someone else
- Surrender their stuff when someone is in need
- Look for way to make others happy with what they have
Servants Heart
- A willingness to take action in order to help someone else
- Serve no matter what
- Looks around them to see what others need
Philippians 2:3-4 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interest but each of you to the interests of others.
How We Think
- Scarciety thinking verses Abundant thinking
- Hold tightly or palm open
- Affects our kids' perspective on a lot of things in life
- Life in general and how we view things, living in fear vs outward focus
- Adversity
- What we have and who is in control
What Can We Do As Parents?
- Set the example, you can't take someone where you've never been
- Set the expectations, not just for the kids, but for the family
- Create experiences that the whole family will experience together
- Honour Efforts, be quick to praise positive things

We're excited to bring you this discussion with Dave Lane. Dave was a youth pastor for over 30 years and a family pastor for 6 years. He's currently the Satellite Director for Youth Unlimited/YFC Sarnia Lambton. In this episode Dave talks about Raising Your Kids For True Greatness by Dr. Tim Kimmel. Success vs True Greatness
- Success looks inward; true greatness looks upward to God, then outward
- Success loves what it sees in a mirror; true greatness grieves over what it sees through its windows
- Success is about my agenda; true greatness is about God’s agenda
- Success accommodates selfishness; true greatness celebrates selflessness
- Success pays off for now; true greatness pays off forever
- True Greatness is about what's going on in their hearts
Why We Tend to Push Towards Success
- Payoff is more tangible
- Draws more attention
- Makes us look good

The Success Illusion, Our kids Have to be...
- The smartest
- The fastest
- The prettiest
- The best connected
- The most popular
- The best outfitted
- The best rewarded
- The most confident
- We often want them to accomplish things we didn't
"In Jesus’ day, the successful ones were the Pharisees. They were respected, revered and even feared." - Dave Lane
How Jesus Responded
- Ignored them which infuriated them, because they were respected by everyone else
- Caused them to get into Jesus’ face demanding respect which caused Jesus to ignore them more
- He wasn't focused on success
Wealth, Beauty, Power and Fame
- Which aren’t bad in themselves
- The problem is when we are consumed by them
- They need to be God-given, not self achieved
- God says He made us beautiful
“God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble...Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." James 4:6,10
Live a life worthy of your calling
- Most people don't know what their calling is or what true greatness is
- Tune in for part 2 to hear what true greatness is
Help for Parents and Volunteers
- Don't get sucked in
- The pull of this world is stronger then you think
- Be aware that we have to push them to what true greatness is
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind..." Romans 12:2
