Changes During This Time
- Everything was cancelled including their first big headlining tour
- Pivoted to working in the studio and mixing for churches

Sharpening Skills in Practical Ways
- Get into the habit of playing on your own at home and keep it up
- Rehearse the set as if you are scheduled and practise even when you are not serving; stay engaged so you are always ready to go
- Use Sunday morning at home as a chance to play along
Leading Creatives Well
- Relationships are the most important thing
- Prioritize people over process; focus on people to get the best results
- Give creative boundaries and freedom to be creative
- Continue to check in with them
Preparing Practically
- Prepare heart and hands
- Heart: Build a playlist with the songs, listen to the lyrics, spend time getting to know them and worship
- Hands: Know the parts and details
Keeping a Consistent Audio Mix
- It's easy to lean on presets on digital soundboards but the best thing you can do is to learn the console
- Invest in team members; teach them and grow together
- There's a learning curve but better results in the long run
- Close the gap between most experienced and least experienced
Nurturing a Cohesive Sound Mix
- Have ground rules that are non-negotiable (e.g., vocal is most important)
- Pay attention to volume and decibel levels
- Remember who has the authority to make those decisions and try to come under it
- Do the best job you can with the parameters you are given
- Leave room for people to learn from one another
- Give opportunities for feedback
Ways to Debrief
- After the service, debrief with the team and someone who was listening to the service
- Google Forms helps to track feedback and encouragement
- What went well and who is your MVP?
Moving Forward as a Church
- There is some margin to try things and use this time to experiment
- Online services provide new ways to serve
- Think about outside of Sunday morning
- Double down on connections in small ways
Volunteers on the Road
- Provide a Sunday off for the regular team
- Great way to learn from someone new
- Use Planning Centre to prepare in advance
Be Encouraged
- We often don't see the impact of what we do or what God is doing, especially right now
- It's hard to do the same thing week after week without feedback
- God is still moving
- Be encouraged that the work you do matters
- We need your talents
